Glazed Pecans

December 14, 2012 by Angie 11 Comments

Candied Pecans

Oh goodness this is one of those things that are oh so easy yet oh so wonderful. Please try them and you will agree they are wonderful. I had a customer bring them in to us with the recipe and we all went NUTS over them….heeee heeee. I have made them every year since. They are additive so be careful to only make one batch.

Glazed Pecans

1/2 cup sour cream
pinch of sea salt
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
16 oz bag of pecans – you can toast or not your call
Ingredients and steps for making candied pecans
Mix sour cream, sugar and salt in a medium sauce pot. Put on stove top on low and stir constantly until it gets thick and creamy about 6 minutes or until it reaches 240. Add vanilla and nuts and remove from heat, stir nuts until they are all coated well. Spread over waxed or parchment paper. I have found they need to sit over night to dry. Package up and take as little gifts to friends.
candied pecans ....you'll love em!!
